Meet & Greet

A complimentary consultation is required before booking the first training session. Please complete the "Dog Training Evaluation form " in Client Resources and email to info@calmassertivek-9.com prior to consultation appointment. Consultations allow us to get to know your pet, review routines and to set goals and expectations.

Booking & Payment

  • Services should be booked in advance to guarantee availability.
     
  • Payment is due at the time of booking (or upon completion for recurring clients).
     
  • We accept cash, check, Venmo, and Zelle. 

Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellations made 24 hours or more in advance will not incur a fee.
     
  • Cancellations made within 24 hours may be subject to a fee equal to 50–100% of the scheduled service.
     
  • Holiday bookings require at least 72 hours’ notice for cancellation.

Pet Health & Vaccinations

  • All pets must be up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, and free of contagious conditions.
     
  • Please disclose any behavioral or medical concerns in advance.
     
  • We reserve the right to refuse service if a pet poses a risk to safety.

Safety & Access

  • We reserve the right to refuse service if a pet poses a risk to safety. For in-home services, clients are responsible for providing safe access (keys, codes, gate info).
     
  • Pets must wear secure collars/harnesses for walks.
     
  • In inclement weather, walks may be adjusted for safety (shortened or replaced with indoor play).

Holidays & Peak Times

  • Services on major holidays may include an additional fee.
     
  • Bookings during peak times (holidays, summer) should be made well in advance.

Emergency Care

  • In the event of an emergency, we will contact you immediately.
     
  • If you are unreachable, we will seek veterinary care at your expense.
     
  • Please provide your preferred vet’s contact information and an emergency contact.

Liability

  • We will take every precaution to keep your pet safe and happy.
     
  • However, we are not liable for injury, illness, or escape due to pre-existing conditions, unsafe property, or circumstances beyond our control.

How do I book a service?

You can contact us directly by phone, email, or through our website. For new clients, we always schedule a complimentary meet & greet before your first booking.

What happens during a meet & greet?

We’ll get to know you and your pet, review routines, go over your pet’s needs, and answer any questions. This ensures everyone is comfortable before services begin.

Do you require vaccinations?

Yes. For the safety of all pets in our care, we require that dogs are current on vaccinations and flea/tick prevention.

How do you handle inclement weather?

Your pet’s safety is our priority. During extreme heat, cold, or storms, walks may be shortened or replaced with indoor play and potty breaks.

Do you provide updates while I’m away?

Absolutely! We’re happy to send text or photo updates so you know your pet is safe, happy, and cared for.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance are free. Last-minute cancellations may be subject to a fee. (See our Policies page for details.)

What is included in your pet sitting service?

Pet sitting includes meals, playtime, potty breaks, cuddles, and keeping your pet on their usual routine. Sitting is done in my home, so your dog enjoys a safe and cozy environment.

Do you offer training while pets are boarded?

Yes! Our Train & Board program combines boarding with professional training to reinforce obedience and good manners while your pet stays with us.

What areas do you serve?

We currently offer services in Broward County and parts of Palm Beach County. Additional travel fees may apply outside of this area.
